Christ Unity Church offers spiritual counseling to those in need. It is important to understand, however, that this form of encouragement is designed to help an individual to clarify his or her own life experiences in relation to the Christ teachings as interpreted by Unity. This form of counseling is not psychological, neither is it directional. The responsibility for all subsequent decision making remains very firmly with the individual counselee. There may be times, though, when the help of a licensed professional psychological counselor may be called on. At such times, and with consent of the counselee, a referral to such a competent person may be suggested of forwarded. All counseling in Unity is confidential. Unity Misters and licensed teachers have been trained to offer effective spiritual counsel, but there is no charge for their services. However, if you wish, you can make a voluntary contribution to them personally or to the church which they serve. As always, your generosity in this regard will be appreciated. Note that Pre-marital counseling is not required of couples planning to marry in the church, but it is recommended, and you may wish to consult the minister well in advance in these circumstances. The Christ within is our true Counselor, and in turning to this God-given Power for help we find comfort in sorrow and joy and hope in times of celebration.
Lay Chaplains provide monthly phone calls to active church members and give prayer support whenever requested. An important part of their services is going to homes and hospitals for visits. AL-ANON Meets Mondays ~ 7:00-8:30 pm ~ 6th Grade Room Facilitated by JoAnne S. Al-Anon is open to anyone for whom the issue of alcoholism and substance abuse is a concern. This is a non-judgmental, safe, and secure environment to learn about or exchange information on challenges that may be affecting you or a loved one.
Healing Energy Circle Meets 2nd & 4th Wednesdays ? 6:00-6:50 pm ? Peace Chapel Come receive a gift of healing love and energy. Individuals trained in energy healing are giving their talents and time to any who are interested in experiencing the healing universal life-force energy. Join us in opening yourself to universal flow of love and light. |
